Battery And Powertrain

The e-Vitara will be offered with two battery pack choices: a 49kWh unit and a larger 61kWh pack. When paired up with a front axle-mounted electric motor, it belts out 144hp with the smaller one and 174hp with the larger, 61kWh battery pack. Most importantly, these can run up to 344 km and 428 km respectively, within a single charge. Fast-charging support allows the e-Vitara to go from 10 to 80 per cent in roughly 45 minutes, making quick top-ups easy during highway stops.
Interior And Features

Inside, the e-Vitara offers a modern, premium feel with a clean layout. The cabin features a twin-display arrangement with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen and a fully digital driver's display. Apart from this, Soft-touch surfaces, dual-tone upholstery, and multi-colour ambient lighting elevate the cabin experience. Additionally, the features list includes ventilated front seats, a fixed glass sunroof, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, keyless entry, and an Infinity audio system. Meanwhile, the safety package might include 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, a level 2 ADAS suite and much more.
Pricing And Rivals
While the official price will be revealed at launch, the e-Vitara is expected to arrive in the Rs 17 lakh - Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom) range, positioning it right in the heart of the mid-size electric SUV segment. This puts it in direct competition with the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, MG Windsor and VinFast VF7.

Verdict
The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara shapes up to be a well-balanced, value-driven electric SUV that focuses on efficiency, everyday practicality, and modern features rather than outright performance. With solid range figures, a premium cabin, and a competitive price bracket, it has all the ingredients to shake up the mid-size EV space, especially for buyers entering the electric market for the first time.
