Mercedes-Benz was the only luxury car maker which was present at the 2020 Auto Expo and they showed a bunch of new cars there. Mercedes is soon to launch the A-class Limo (sedan) here in India and the brand has also started taking booking in exchange of Rs 2 lakhs. Today we tell you everything we know so far about the upcoming Mercedes A-class Limo.
As we all know, the A-class Limo will replace the old CLA in India and don't get bewildered as the Limo badge has been chucked just to make space for A-class hatch. It actually measures the same as the Europen model. The A-class Limo can do wonders for Mercedes India as it can eat up the sales of other premium sedans in the same price bracket. Look at this way, the A-class Limo has a wheelbase of 2729mm which is obviously smaller than the C-class' but not by a huge margin. And also taking into consideration that the A-class will get the 2.0-litre diesel engine which we get in the C-class, it will definitely not lack power either.
The A-class Limo is expected to come with 3 engine options - 1.3-litre turbo petrol with 163 hp, a 2.0-litre diesel with 190 hp and 2.0-litre petrol in A35 AMG trim and that will churn out 306 hp. Mercedes showcased the A35 iteration of the A-class at the Expo which confirms it will hit our shores soon. The AMG engine will power all four wheels whereas the other two will channel power to front wheels only.

Mercedes A-class Limo will be loaded to the brim, we are talking features like two high definition screens with Mercedes MBUX system, Mercedes Me connected car tech, cruise control, powered seats with memory function, two-zone climate control, Burmester sound system, panoramic sliding roof, wireless charging, keyless-go and ambient lighting. These features clear that A-class will be fairly equipped while the latest MBUX system with touchpad and touchscreen controls turns out to be the cherry on the cake. You can also choose from 5 different exterior colours and 5 interior upholstery options.
The bookings are open and the expected launch time of the Mercedes A-class Limo was around July 2020, but due to some persisted worsening situations, we might see a delay in the launch of A-class. If Mercedes price it in the region of Rs 35-40 lakhs, it can do wonders for the brand and make the three-pointed star shine even more!
