Royal Enfield Classic 650 Spotted Testing - Launch by Diwali 2024?

Royal Enfield recently launched the new Himalayan in India. After the immense positive response to it, the company is now eyeing to launch its next big product. Royal Enfield Classic 650: What to Expect?

While it is not the first time that the Classic 650 test bike has been spied on, the new spy shots (source) surely reveal more details. The front, side, & rear profiles show us that its design will remarkably mimic the Classic 350. However, the large dimensions are evident, as it is supposed to be based on the Super Meteor 650 platform. Also, the twin chrome exhausts do look good from the rear. As the Classic brand is meant for a retro buyer, it'll have fewer features as compared to the rest of the 650cc lineup. Meanwhile, the comfortable riding posture is evident, all thanks to the centre-set footpegs & a relaxed handlebar position.

The test bike also has a dual-seat setup with a single frame. It is supposedly going to be something unique, as it has been spotted on the upcoming Classic 350 Bobber test bike as well. Underneath the fuel tank will be the 648cc parallel-twin engine that makes 47 bhp & 52 Nm of peak torque. Not to mention, the gear ratios & fuel maps will be revised according to the dimensional & weight changes. The new 650 Classic is anticipated to debut later this year. We suspect that it'll debut around the Diwali festival in India.
