Royal Enfield Electric Bike First Ever Photo Leaked Online - Debut In 2025

Royal Enfield Electric Bike's first-ever photos have surfaced online. Royal Enfield is calling it Electrik01 internally. It is expected to debut globally by 2025.

  • To feature neo-retro styling
  • Likely to get girder fork front suspension
  • Still far away from the production stage

It's no surprise that Royal Enfield is working on entering the EV segment. EVs have exploded in India as well as global markets lately. Hence, the Royal Enfield electric bike is under development. However, its first-ever photo has leaked online. The bike is destined to get a neo-retro design with some exciting features as well. Read all of its details below.

Royal Enfield Electric Bike Details

The cult bike maker RE is calling its upcoming EV 'Electrik01' internally. However, the leaked photo gives us an idea of what it can be. Additionally, we admit the fact that the EV from RE is still years away from reaching the production stage. The leaked photo shows the front of the bike. It gets a sculpted beautiful green-painted tank with a round headlight. Meanwhile, the exciting part is the girder fork suspension at the front. This is something unusual on EVs but RE is still working on it. Hence, we can't be sure whether this will make it on the production variant or not.

Another noticeable fact is that RE is focusing on premium fit & finish on this EV. As EVs are all about being a lightweight factor; the fit & finish of plastic needs to be perfect as per the segment standards. Hence, we are expecting that RE is focusing on making it one premium EV in a true sense. Meanwhile, the chassis on it is also exciting. It gets double-frame tubes on either side of the headstock. One of the tubes carries the tank and seat weight while the lower tube will hold the battery pack.

However, it is being reported online that this will be one unique RE. As per the online reports, RE is focusing on holding its true RE values. Hence, a longer development time is expected.

Verdict

Upon the launch of the Hunter 350, Mr. Sid Lal himself revealed that RE is aiming to debut the Electrik01 by 2025. However, with the models like Super Meteor 650; we know this timeline may exceed. Certainly, the tree of the RE family is going to expand fruitfully in the distant future. If we compare it with its probable rivals; it currently competes with the newly launched Ultraviolette F77.
