Hi, I'm Tejen. I was born and brought up in a small town of Haryana. However, from the day of my birth and until now, I've always lived around cars and motorcycles. More than passion, the automotive world is my only lifestyle. It's the connection to the vehicle that delivers me peace. However, when it comes to a choice; my instinct leads me towards motorcycles.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Spied With TFT Display & Cruise Control

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 ADV bike has been spied on once again. This time close shots of it have revealed that it'll get features like cruise control, a TFT screen, & more.

  • Possibly to get cruise control
  • It'll feature TFT digital screen with Bluetooth connectivity
  • Launch in coming months

It has been a long time since Royal Enfield started road testing its upcoming Himalayan 450. In fact, one of the test mules of it recently got involved in a crash. However, recent spy pics of it have surfaced online that showcase the close details of the upcoming ADV. Read below all details of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 test mule. Design & Features - Will It Get Cruise Control?

Now, the design is not much of a surprise to us. Earlier spotted test bikes have hinted that they'll be bigger than the current Himalayan. However, take a close look at the recent photos & you'll notice exciting details. For example, the front is elongated and vertical like typical big ADVs. Long travel suspension is evident but it is now a USD unit. Also, the front tyre seems to be a 21-inch but with a tube-type setup and spoked rims. Meanwhile, the use of LED headlight like the Super Meteor looks nice. Even the turn indicators are LED and so is the taillight.

RE has covered the bike with a very weird-looking camouflage but we think it is done to protect the bike from being spied on. We also anticipate that the bike is production-ready and the test mule is draped in production colour as well. Now, the more interesting bit is the TFT display. It'll be the first RE to ever get a fully digital instrument console. This also indicates that multiple features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, AFE indicator, & other rider-oriented info will be displayed via it.

Additionally, we can not completely deny that it can possibly get traction control, riding modes, etc. One such hidden detail is the new switchgear that has a cruise control button over the right side. This indicates that RE is fully prepared to take on its well-equipped rivals like the KTM Adventure 390 in every manner. In fact, it'll also be the first-ever RE to get a liquid-cooled engine. It is expected to feature a new 450cc single-cylinder engine that might make peak power in the likes of 40 bhp or more.

Verdict - When Will It Launch?

The main question is still the same. When will it launch? Going by the recent test standards of RE, we think it is still away from launch. Why so? Because the road testing is still ongoing. However, the fact can't be denied that it now looks ready for launch. But, RE will launch it around September in India with a price tag of Rs 2.75 lakh at least.
