Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 is the next bike from the cult maker. Its media rides are already going on in Manali. It will debut on 7 November at EICMA in Italy but before that, all of its specs & technical details have leaked online. Read every detail about it below.

As per the online leaked images of what appears to be the spec sheet of the Himalayan 452; it is going to be a completely unique ADV. RE calls the new 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as 'Sherpa 452'. It develops a peak power of 40.02 PS @ 8,000 RPM while the peak torque is 40 NM @ 5,500 RPM. It is mated to a 6-speed wet-clutch transmission with a slipper assist clutch function as well. Interestingly, this engine also comes with different riding modes - Eco, Off-Road, & Performance. One can also switch off the rear-wheel ABS to have more fun off the road. Also, the fuel tank is now bigger at 17-lts, thus, making up for more range. Meanwhile, the front brake is a 320mm disc while the rear is a 270mm disc. These are combined via a dual-channel ABS.
Dimensions-wise, the new Himalayan is 2245mm in length, 1510mm in wheelbase, 852mm in width, & 1316mm in height. The ground clearance of it is 230mm. Also, the rear monoshock suspension is 7-step adjustable. Hence, one can modify the seat height from 805mm (lowest setting) to 845mm (highest setting). At the front, it gets SHOWA USD forks which are non-adjustable. What we absolutely love is the low kerb weight of it. The new Himalayan weighs only 181 kg (dry). With 90 percent fuel & oil, it weighs 196 kg. In terms of features, it gets a 4" TFT display with phone connectivity & Google Maps integration as well. Also, a USB charging port is provided on it.
Verdict
The new Himalayan 452 will debut at EICMA officailly. The current media rides in India are ongoing in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. We expect the new model to launch at the upcoming Motoverse'23 festival by RE in Goa. The price reveal of it'll also take place there. However, the official bookings shall open from 7 November itself in India. It'll be available in 5 different colour options. The expected price of it is Rs 2.75 lakh (introductory).
