Skoda Kushaq Helps Carmaker Post Whopping 234 Percent Sales Growth

Skoda Auto India Private Limited has revealed its domestic sales figures for the month of July 2021 and the company has registered tremendous growth. In June this year, this Czech car manufacturer launched the all-new Skoda Kushaq mid-size SUV in India and it is Skoda's first offering under the new India 2.0 Project. Thanks to the Kushaq and other Skoda cars, the company has registered a massive 234 Percent YoY growth in the month of July 2021.

In June 2021, Skoda Auto India Private Limited sold 734 cars in India while in July 2021, Skoda has managed to sell 3,080 cars. Thus, the company has achieved a staggering 320 per cent growth in sales on an MoM (Month on Month) basis. But, in July last year, the carmaker managed to sell 922 cars which increased to 3,080 units in the month of July 2021. Thus, Skoda has achieved a staggering 234 per cent growth in sales on YoY (Year on Year) basis too which is a tremendous achievement for this Czech carmaker.

Commenting on the same, Mr Zac Hollis, Brand Director - Skoda Auto India, said, "KUSHAQ was launched with the vision of substantially growing our volumes in India, and it is very encouraging to see our plan taking shape. Despite a challenging environment, we have managed to have a really successful launch, which is in line with our strategic focus and volume expectations. Moreover, the new launch has enabled us to build a strong momentum across the value chain. We are seeing a surge in dealership footfalls and customer enquiries. There is also a multi-fold increase in the requests for new dealerships from the dealer fraternity across India."

Skoda Kushaq in High Demand

The all-new Skoda Kushaq mid-size SUV was launched in India in June this year and it has already bagged more than 6,000 bookings. The 1.0-litre TSI Kushaq is in high demand and the deliveries of the 1.5-litre TSI version will also commence soon.
