Every day we witness a new car tech evolution, either technically or mechanically. In a recent patent filed by GM, a one-of-a-kind tech has been revealed to the world. New Car Tech That Avoids Road Rage - Is It Possible?
As per a leaked online patent image, this new safety technology has surfaced. The patent has been filed by GM and it uses a plethora of sensors and modules inside the cabin. These sensors notice the behaviour of the driver including patterns as such hard braking, immediate acceleration, swerving lanes, tailgating, etc. Not only that, but, it'll also listen to what drivers and passengers are saying; which is quite a controversial topic to discuss. All of this data will then be consumed and further actions will be taken by this new tech.
As per the patent data, the car will start with easy exercise steps like informing the driver to "take a deep breath". The second escalation will lead to a hands-free call to someone close. However, the third step will involve calling a trained advisor who will talk the driver through the situation. But, it doesn't end here. The last and most aggressive step will include the use of ADAS features to take control of the car. This step will eliminate the need for a driver. In simple means, the car takes control of itself while the driver becomes a dummy. Moreover, the car will either stop by itself safely or further turn off the vehicle.
Now as controversial as it sounds, this technology will be a boon for modern-day city driving conditions. The continuous news of people getting into road rage and scuffles is a sign of bad mental health. GM's idea is not to heal people with mental issues but to take care of others and the ones inside the car by using this technology. However, this patent is still in its initial stages and it'll be a long time full of testings and improvisations before it gets introduced into the production cars.

This new technology definitely looks interesting. Moreover, it'll be even more interesting to see how GM emebds into the production cars and how this tech reacts to the real-world situations.
