Odometer Check - There might be a chance that the car you are taking delivery of might have been driven for some excess kilometres by the concerned dealership. Check the odometer reading, and question the dealership authorities if the reading exceeds more than say 100 kms.

Exterior Check - Have a thorough look on the exterior body of the car, to check the quality of paint and scratches on door panels, bonnet, bumpers, boot lid, outside rear-view mirrors and roof.

Interior Check - Check whether the doors and glovebox are opening and closing properly. Also, give an eye to the presence of stains or fit and finish of the panels, switches, steering wheel and upholstery.

Tire Check - If the car is kept idle for a very long time, the tires do become a bit hard, which might result in hardening of the tires and faster wear and tear. Check the condition of tires and the air pressure in them, including that of the spare tire too.

Electrical Check - Check whether all the lighting elements of the car, including the headlamps, tail lamps, fog lamps (if there), interior cabin lights and reading lamps are glowing with full illumination or not.

Air Conditioner Check - Check whether the air conditioner is working properly and cooling the cabin with efficient speeds and no bad odour. There might be a possibility that the blowers might get clogged by dust if kept for a long time.

Hood Check - Open the bonnet and check the condition of the engine bay, and see whether it is properly clean or not. Do check the wirings and fluid levels as well, with the help of a person who has good sensible knowledge about these things.

Suspension Check - Check whether the suspension, both front and rear, have lost alignment or not, which might be a possibility if the car is parked on an uneven surface for a long time.
