Skoda Auto India has launched the 2026 model year of its flagship Kodiaq SUV, with prices starting at Rs 36.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 3 lakh more affordable than before. The biggest update is the introduction of Level 2 ADAS, now available from the Sportline and Selection L&K variants onwards. Moreover, the Czech automaker has also added more features to the Sportline variant. Let's learn more about it below. 2026 Skoda Kodiaq

Skoda Kodiaq is the flagship SUV and its second generation was launched in April 2025 with two variants - Sportline and L & K trims. Later, Skoda added another variant - Lounge making it the new base variant, starting at an affordable price point but with only 5 seat options. Now for 2026, Skoda has updated this 4x4 SUV with ADAS level 2 available with the Sportline and L & K.
Other notable changes are - the mid variant is now equipped with 360-parking camera, and front grille with a horizontal light strip, which earlier were reserved for the the top-spec only. This makes the 2026 Kodiaq even more interesting 4x4 SUV build on a monocoque chassis as this is esentially a soft-roader, picked by customers who want a luxurious SUV for everything but mostly cities.

Lastly, each variant of the Skoda Kodiaq comes with AWD setting, be it the base or top - and the powertrain here is a 2.0L TSI engine mated to a 7-speed DSG, making 203 PS and 320 Nm of torque. To add more, it is important to know that the Kodiaq isn't totally build in India, but assembled Skoda Auto India's facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

Verdict
Even since the 2nd generation Kodiaq has launched, the biggest complaint has been that this car doesn't have ADAS, a saftey suite now available from the car costing Rs 10 lakh, and this one was a Rs 45 lakh car. But, finally the automaker has rectified, and also made the base trim more affordable which will attract more customers, as USP of this car are very-well known in the India market. So, great times ahead for this brand.
