Ever since its launch back in July 2023, the Triumph Speed 400 has got its first price hike in April 2024. Not only this, the Scrambler 400 X prices have been revised as well. Triumph Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X Prices Revised
The entry-level Triumphs were launched last year. While the Triumph Speed 400 was the first to make its debut at a starting price of Rs. 2.33 lakhs, it was retailing at an introductory Rs. 2.23 lakhs which was a stellar pricing for what it brings to the table. Following this was the launch of the Triumph Scrambler 400 X at a starting price of Rs. 2.63 lakhs ex-showroom.
Fast forward to today, the prices of both these bikes have been revised with a hike, but interestingly, the quanta is minimal. Both the bikes are now expensive by just Rs, 1500, not making serious alterations to the asking price when you look at the full amount of the vehicles. This move could have stemmed from rising costs or from inflationary effects, but no official statement is yet given.
Features
The user-friendly dashboard features a classic analogue speedometer alongside a digital tachometer for clear visibility. Essential trip information like gear selection and fuel range are readily available. A convenient USB-C port keeps your devices charged on the go. Powertrain
Both the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 share the same heart a 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine punches out 39.5 horsepower and 37.5 Nm of torque, channeled through a 6-speed gearbox for smooth gear changes.
Verdict
The Triumph duo come out as a srong contender in its segment and sometimes even punching up in the heirrchy. With its strong mechanics and hardware, the overall package poses big challenge to the KTM 390 serieS, Harley Davidson X440, and others in the segment. However, there is another new 400cc Triumph bike in pipeline, prepping for a launch soon
