Recently, TVS launched its new 125cc offering, a stylish, affordable commuter motorcycle dubbed Raider. For buyers in this segment, their budget is the most important factor before making any buying decision. And this is where TVS has played it smart by launching the new motorcycle with segment-first features at a price point that is lower in comparison to its competitors. TVS Raider is a stylish, feature-loaded motorcycle that appears like a 150cc or even a 160cc motorcycle but is powered by a 125cc air and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine which produces 8.37 kW of power and 11.2 Nm of peak torque.

With the wide range of 125cc motorcycles in India, the TVS Raider will compete with Hero Glamour, Bajaj Pulsar 125, and Honda SP 125. All of these motorcycles mentioned above fall almost under the same price range.

Comfort and features are the most important aspects to be considered these days whereas, with the increase in competition, the two-wheeler segment has even started offering amazing features like built-in mobile charger, navigation assist, Bluetooth connectivity, and more convenient features for its riders.

On comparing the prices of the other three motorcycles with TVS Raider, it gets evident that the base variant of Raider is the cheapest. Glamour XTEC comes equipped with a navigation assist, a built-in mobile charger and many more features for which it asks for a premium of Rs 80,500 for its base trim.

Looking at the base variants, the Raider is the cheapest and Glamour is expensive whereas, in the top variants, Pulsar 125 is cheapest priced at Rs 80,698 only (ex-showroom) and Raider is the expensive one among the others. Not much difference in prices can be observed with the top variants of Glamour and Raider. 

Honda SP125 offers some segment-first features like a fully digital meter and silent start with ACG which is Hondas unique system to cancel gear meshing sound to start the motor without any sound. The bike is a pack of features still has an affordable price tag of Rs 78,381 (ex-showroom) almost the same as the other motorcycles.
