With the release of its new cruiser motorcycle, the Ronin, TVS Motor has entered the 225cc motorcycle market. The TVS Ronin has a good amount of features and a striking design style. The bike is available in three variants: SS, DS, and TD, and costs between Rs. 1.49 lakh and Rs. 1.68 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. First, if we talk about the engine specifications Ronin gets a new 225.9cc engine which can produce 20.1 bhp of power and 19.9 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated with a 5-speed transmission. The overall underpinnings and specifications of all the variants are similar. The motorcycle gets two riding modes for better maneuverability namely Rain and Urban. All Ronin variants ride on 9-spoke alloy wheels with tubeless Remora tyres measuring 110/70-17 up front and 130/70-17 in back. A 300mm disc in front and a 240mm disc at the back are responsible for handling the braking of the motorcycle.
TVS Ronin SS - Rs 1.49 Lakh
The Ronin SS is the motorcycle's entry-level model, and it is available in Magma Red and Lightning Black, two single-tone colours. The USD forks are painted in black, while the body decals are monotone. Additionally, this version lacks connectivity features, adjustable levers, and only receives a Single-Channel ABS configuration. The cost of this variant is Rs. 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
TVS Ronin DS - Rs 1.58 Lakh
The Ronin DS comes in dual-tone colours Stargaze Black and Delta Blue. In addition to the dual-tone colour, this model also sports an all-black seat and a silver headlamp rim finish. The DS version's front fork likewise features a golden finish and stainless steel finish on the muffler. The Ronin DS maintains the SS variant's non-adjustable levers and single-channel ABS. The starting price for the Ronin DS model is Rs. 1.58 lakh (ex-showroom).
TVS Ronin TD - Rs 1.68 Lakh
The Ronin TD is the top-of-the-line variant which comprise of few extra features over the SS and DS variants. The TD gets dual-channel ABS, adjustable levers, and other the golden forks and muffler end finish is carried over from the DS variant. This variant also gets triple-tone colour schemes, and is available in Galactic Grey and Dawn Orange, and gets tank decals. The price of the Ronin TD variant sits at Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom).
