An alarm will flash on the display for helmet reminder.

According to an online report, TVS officials confirmed that the company is working on a new safety tech. This new tech will ensure that the rider kept reminded to wear a helmet always. To do this, a camera-based tech will be deployed on the products. This camera will detect the helmet of the rider. Hence, the detection will help the system to know whether the rider is wearing a helmet or not. In case the rider is not wearing the helmet, the digital display will keep flashing the helmet reminder message.

TVS products with TFT display shall get equipped with this tech.

If TVS successfully deploys this tech on its products, it'll be the first manufacturer in the world to do this. BMW once did announce to introduce a face detection tech but it later turned out to be just an April fool's prank. However, TVS is serious towards increasing the safety of its riders. Also, as this tech will need the digital display, products like Apache RTR 310RR & iQube e-scooter get TFT display. Hence, we can safely assume that whenever TVS introduces this tech; it'll be offered on its premium products.

Verdict

Earlier this year, TVS launched a connected Bluetooth helmet tech in India. This technology was the first to be offered by any Indian manufacturer. For now, the launch date of this upcoming tech from TVS is unknown. But, we suspect that the official statement from TVS means that it can debut possibly in the coming months.
