Upcoming Cars From Tata in 2020 And 2021

In the recent years, Tata has been launching great products in the Indian market. After the success of cars such as the Tiago, Nexon, and the Harrier, Tata now plans to update its portfolio with the addition of many new cars. Let us see the list of upcoming cars from Tata in the year 2020 and 2021.

Upcoming Tata Gravitas

Revealed for the first time at the 2020 Auto Expo in India, the Tata Gravitas is a three-row version of the Harrier SUV. The car is expected to be available in a 6-seat and 7-seat configurations and will share its platform and powertrains with the Tata Harrier.

Just like the Harrier, the Gravitas too will be getting the 2.0-L Kryotec diesel engine which makes 170 PS and 350 Nm of maximum torque. The car is expected to be available with manual and automatic transmission options and may also get a petrol engine soon after the launch. Once launched, the Gravitas will compete against the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV500 and the Innova Crysta.

Upcoming Tata HBX

This micro-SUV, the HBX, will be launched in the country by the end of 2020 or by early 2021. Tata will position the HBX as the entry-level SUV in its line-up for the Indian market.

It is expected that the HX will be powered by the 1.2-L, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine, which also powers the Tiago and the Tigor. This engine, in its current form, produces 86 PS and 114 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 5-Speed MT and an AMT gearbox. The car also gets a floating touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, push-button start, and many other modern features.

Upcoming Tata Altroz EV

Tata launched the Nexon EV not a long time ago and the car went on to become one of the most popular EVs in India. Now, after the success of the Nexon EV, Tata plans to launch the full-electric version of the Altroz. The car is expected to be launched by 2021. Apart from this, we are still waiting for more details about the car. It is also expected that the Altroz EV will get a driving range of about 300-350 kms on a single charge.

Upcoming Tata Sierra

The Tata Sierra was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo and attracted a number of eyeballs. The car gets a bold stance, muscular wheel arches, and iconic alpine windows. The Tata Sierra will be based on the ALFA ARC platform and is expected to be launched in the country in the second half of 2021. The model showcased at the AutoExpo was a three-door version, similar to the original Sierra which was sold in the country years ago.

Upcoming Tata EVision

This mid-size sedan is expected to be the last electric vehicle to be added to the company's portfolio. As per the reports, the EVision sedan will come with futuristic interior layout, a spacious and feature-loaded cabin, and a large sunroof. The EVision concept was first time showcased in the Geneva Motor Show a couple of years ago. The car is expected to be priced under Rs 25 lakh and compete head-on with other EVs present in the market.
