Tata Altroz Turbo

The upcoming Altroz Turbo is one of the highest awaited cars and it may get launched in September 2020. The Altroz impressed all of us with its looks and features. However, the Altroz really deserves a peppier petrol engine. The 1.2-litre 3-pot petrol engine is not enjoyable to drive and lacks the smoothness and effortlessness of a 4-pot mill. Some sources speculated that Tata will launch the Altroz turbo just after the lockdown lifts off but that didn't happen. However, a recent test mule of the Altroz with a "Turbo" badge confirmed the imminent launch. The Altroz turbo is expected to borrow the engine from the Nexon but the engine will be detuned.
Hyundai Elite i20

The upcoming Hyundai Elite i20 is one of the most anticipated cars of its segment which are slated for September 2020. The next-gen i20 will sport the sensuous design language of the Korean carmaker which translates to a lot of sharp lines and creases. The best looker of the premium hatchback segment is the Altroz but it may change with the i20. Hyundai will offer a ton of features with the new i20 including a wide array of engine and gearbox options. The launch of the upcoming Hyundai i20 is expected in late September 2020 and it will surely create a buzz in the market.
Ford Figo AT

If you want to buy a sporty little hatchback in the market, Figo has always been the first choice of such buyers. The diesel engine is the main highlight of the Figo and the dragon series petrol engine is great too. However, with the BS6 update, Ford took the 1.5-litre AT of the Figo off the shelves and that created a loophole in the set of buyers. Ford is coming again with the Figo AT, but this time, the 6-speed AT will be mated to the 1.2-litre petrol engine. The three-pot powerhouse will churn out 96 PS of power and 119 Nm of torque. As Ford is choosing the torque convertor over the affordable AMTs, expect the pricing to go up by Rs 80,000-1,00,000 ex-showroom.
Mercedes-Benz EQC

Mercedes-Benz India introduced the Indian media with its EQ brand last year. The all-electric GLC-based SUV was expected to get launched in April 2020 but was delayed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Recently, on the launch of Mercedes-Benz GLS, Mercedes-Benz India head, Martin Schwenk revealed that they will be launching the EQC in the coming weeks. Just to give you an overview, the EQC comes with a kWh battery pack which can deliver a range of 450 km. The power figures of the EQC stands at 400 PS and 760 Nm of torque. We will be driving the Mercedes-Benz EQC in September itself and launch is expected in late September. The EQC wouldn't have any direct rival until Audi launches the E-Tron.

Toyota Innova Crysta CNG has been spied multiple times on the road and it will be mainly targeted to cab aggregators. The CNG option will come with the 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which will produce lesser power and torque than the normal petrol engine. The petrol engine currently produces 166 PS of power and 245 Nm of torque. It comes coupled to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The launch is expected in September and we expect Toyota to price it Rs 1 lakh more than the petrol variants.
