Upcoming Hero Xpulse 421

The newly spotted test mule was covered in heavy camouflage and was seen alongside the Xpulse 210 and the Xpulse Dakar motorcycle. The test mule was fitted with a tall windscreen, a metal engine bash plate, handguards, and a pillion luggage rack. It also gets a sculpted seat for enhanced comfort and easier accessibility. The overall presence of the motorcycle looks substantial and gives it a proper ADV profile from every angle.

The hardware setup on the motorcycle appears to comprise a steel trellis frame, USD front forks, and a rear monoshock absorber. The bike was fitted with spoke wheels that seemed to be 21 inches at the front and 19 inches at the rear. The tyres on the motorcycle appear to be dual-purpose units, suited to the Xpulse's intended purpose.
As seen in the spy shots, the motorcycle gets a large digital instrument cluster that is expected to support Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. Moreover, LED lighting, LED turn indicators, and several other features are also expected on the new motorcycle. For rider safety, features such as dual-channel ABS with switchable rear ABS, riding modes, traction control, and other electronic aids are expected.

Talking about the engine, the motorcycle is expected to be powered by a 421 cc liquid-cooled engine producing nearly 45 bhp. On the transmission front, we can expect a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The new Xpulse 421 is expected to debut later this year; however, the brand has not revealed anything about the launch of the larger Xpulse model. The current Xpulse on sale is the 210cc version, which is available in two variants and priced between Rs 1.66 lakh and Rs 1.76 lakh (ex-showroom).
