Hi, I'm Tejen. I was born and brought up in a small town of Haryana. However, from the day of my birth and until now, I've always lived around cars and motorcycles. More than passion, the automotive world is my only lifestyle. It's the connection to the vehicle that delivers me peace. However, when it comes to a choice; my instinct leads me towards motorcycles.

Honda has recently announced its EV plans for the Indian market. Sharing its upcoming EV roadmap, Honda officials also announced the brief of new upcoming products. It'll soon launch a total of three new products. Out of these three, one will be a cruiser bike. It is supposed to be based on the H'ness CB350 itself. As the present situation is, Honda is still absent in the cruiser category. Hence, the use of a 350cc engine will be the best. Currently, this market is enjoyed solely by the RE Meteor 350. Meanwhile, Yezdi Roadster also finds a decent amount of customers to itself.

Meanwhile, there are no other details revealed regarding it. But, we can make out that most of the engine and chassis components will be shared with the CB series. However, a low-slung cruiser design with a heavy outlook will be featured for sure. We're also expecting the use of design elements like a big windshield, front set footpegs, & pillion backrest. Also, Honda might retune the engine to accommodate the body type changes and the additional weight gain.

Verdict

The CB350 RS and the H'ness have proved to be successful products for the company in India. But, both of these bikes look more like a roadster rather than a cruiser. Meanwhile, the EV expansion plans will also boost the input from HMSI as well. Hence, the new cruiser will be a product worth waiting for.
