Yezdi Adventure Modification : Better Exhaust Sound & Knuckle Guards

What you see here is possibly the first documented case of Yezdi Adventure modification in India. We bought the bike on day of its launch and ever since, have covered a lot of videos on our Youtube channel - do have a look. And today, we talk about some changes that we decided to undertake on this adventure motorcycle to make it even better. You may play the video below or scroll down to read the article.

The first modification that has been done is to the exhaust of the motorcycle. Yezdi has designed the exhaust in a very clever manner. As owner, all you need to do is remove three screws and then pull out of a small muffler. This process is called "DB Killer" removal and instantly gives the bike a new exhaust note. It now sounds deeper with more bass and grunt coming in. This is even more noticeable when you let go of the throttle at higher revs. We will be taking the bike to the service center to get the ECU retuned so that it adjusts to the new (lower) back pressure of the exhaust. There should be a marginal hike in performance we are sure.

The second change that we have done is the inclusion of knuckle guards to the motorcycle. This modification gives it a sportier stance and the guards are available as official accessories for Rs 3,000. Apart from looking cool, these also protect the rider's hands during a fall or while trail riding in bushes. However, I would have preferred wind protection for the fingers, which isn't the case as of now. Look closely and you can notice that there are air inlets and I will be shutting these for the winters.

At launch, the bike did not come with its standard visor and engine / tank guard as these items were in transit. However, they are now in place and frankly, the Yezdi Adventure now looks COMPLETE.
