Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

Maruti provides a selection of three powertrains for the Grand Vitara. The first option features the familiar 1.5-liter engine petrol engine. This naturally aspirated engine generates 103 PS of power and 136.8 Nm of torque. It comes with the choice of a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine excels in fuel efficiency and smooth operation. But, it may lack outright acceleration.

The second powertrain is a robust hybrid setup, allowing for electric-only driving. It combines a conventional engine with an electric motor. It also has a substantial battery pack. In EV-only mode, the engine remains off, providing significant fuel savings. This strong hybrid configuration is exclusive to the automatic gearbox. It boasts a claimed economy of 27.97 kmpl.

At last, it also comes with a 1.5-liter CNG powertrain, sharing the same engine, producing 87.8 bhp and 121.5 Nm of torque. In petrol mode, these figures increase to 100.6 bhp and 136 Nm of torque.

With 2025MY, now customers can choose the AllGrip Select with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Earlier, it was only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox with the Alpha trim, but now customers have the option to choose automatic convenience with 4WD capabilities. Moreover, this AllGrip 4WD system is only available with the 1.5L engine making 103 ps and 139 Nm of torque.
