Design

I won't bore you with the regular Grand Vitara's design rundown; you've seen it a hundred times. Instead, here's what's new on this edition. The Phantom Blaq Edition trades off the standard Grand Vitara's Chrome detailing with a piano black black wrap. The SUV boasts a muscular silhouette, featuring a grille and cladding finished in piano black. This special edition rides on 17-inch black alloy wheels. The SUV features a deep matte black shade, which will remain exclusive to this special edition.
Interiors

Stepping inside, you'll notice no changes; the SUV remains the same as the standard Grand Vitara Hybrid's top trim. It gets an all black leatherette upholstery along with those signature champagne gold accents. Even though the feature list sees no updates, you still get the same package of goodies. Some of the key features include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless connectivity, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, heads-up display and a 4-speaker Clarion sound system with 2 tweeters. Meanwhile, the safety package also remains the same, including six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Control, reverse parking sensors, three-point seat belts for all occupants with reminders and much more.
Powertrain
This Phantom Blaq Edition is limited only to the SUV's strong hybrid powertrain. It comes equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine along with a 0.76kWh lithium-ion battery and electric motor. When paired with an eCVT transmission, this setup belts out 116 PS and 141 nm of torque. Most importantly, it delivers an impressive fuel efficiency of 27km/l.
Pricing
While Maruti Suzuki has not announced a separate price for the Phantom Blaq Edition, it will only be available with the strong hybrid Alpha+ trim.

Verdict
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition doesn't reinvent the SUV but gives it a darker, more exclusive personality. With its stealthy styling, premium features, and fuel-sipping hybrid powertrain, it's a tempting pick for those who want a Grand Vitara that stands out, without compromising on efficiency or tech.
