Nissan Magnite Latest Update
Last Updated on 09th Jan'26: Nissan has further expanded the Magnite lineup by introducing a CNG variant with an AMT gearbox, making it one of the very few compact SUVs in India to offer a CNG-automatic combination. The Magnite CNG AMT is powered by the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 5-speed AMT and comes with a factory-approved, dealer-fitted CNG kit. The CNG range is available in 11 variants, with prices starting from Rs 6.34 lakh and going up to Rs 9.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Nissan is also offering a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty on the Magnite CNG, enhancing its appeal for budget-conscious urban buyers looking for low running costs and driving convenience.
The Nissan Magnite has achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing 2 lakh units sold globally, solidifying its status as a key player in the subcompact SUV segment. Launched in 2020, the Magnite’s bold design, feature-rich package, and factory-fitted CNG option have contributed to its growing popularity. Exported to over 65 countries, it embodies Nissan’s “Make in India, Make for the World” vision. In FY2024-25 alone, it recorded over 99,000 sales, marking Nissan’s best annual performance in seven years.

Nissan Magnite Detailed Review
- The new Magnite's design is more or less the same as before, and while familiarity in this segment is alright, we feel the new Magnite looks a bit too similar to the outgoing car.
- The car's headlights remain the same. However, the front bumper and fog lamps have received a mild redesign. The grille also gets a more prominent border, giving it a more imposing look.
- Not much has changed when it comes to the profile of the car, except for the new design of the 16-inch diamond-cut alloy rims. However, it now gets dual-tone paint options, along with a new Sunrise Copper Orange paint scheme.
- The tail lights are also familiar from the outgoing car, with the rear bumper only receiving a slight redesign, and the addition of a chrome strip on the tailgate.

Latest Updates on Magnite
Nissan has expanded its factory-approved CNG retrofitment programme to include the EZ-Shift AMT versions of the Magnite, following strong demand for eco-friendly alternatives. The government-approved kit, priced around Rs 71,999, integrates the CNG valve into the existing fuel lid and comes with a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty. It is offered across 13 states and is compatible with 1.0-litre NA petrol versions. This move broadens the SUV’s appeal to buyers prioritising fuel efficiency and lower running costs.
Nissan has launched a first-of-its-kind 10-year extended warranty plan for the new Magnite, following its strong safety performance, offering protection for up to 2 lakh km. The comprehensive coverage builds on the standard 3-year warranty and can be tailored with flexible options like 3+7, 3+4, etc., at a low per-km cost. This long-term warranty is available only on Magnite models with the newer 3-year standard warranty. It brings added peace of mind for buyers looking at ownership costs and reliability.
Nissan has expanded the Magnite’s colour palette with a new Metallic Grey shade, now available on Tekna, Tekna+ and N-Connecta variants, adding more visual choice for buyers. This option complements the recently introduced Kuro Edition and existing hues like Sunrise Copper Orange and Flare Garnet Red. The addition aims to enhance the SUV’s premium appeal in a competitive segment. Potential buyers now have more ways to personalise their Magnite.
Nissan Motor India’s compact SUV, the Nissan Magnite, has secured a five-star safety rating for adult occupant protection and three stars for child safety in the latest Global NCAP crash tests, a significant improvement from its earlier scores under previous protocols. The result reflects safety upgrades including six airbags, ESC and enhanced structural integrity. This rating positions Magnite among the safer small SUVs in its class. The achievement is expected to boost consumer confidence and strengthen its market appeal.
