GST Rate Cut to Drive Market Momentum

The Government of India recently revised the Goods and Services Tax (GST) structure applicable to automobiles, reducing the rate from 28% (plus cess) to 18%. Nissan Motor India has embraced this change, assuring customers that the entire tax benefit will reflect in the new pricing of their popular SUV range, starting immediately. The revised prices come into effect for deliveries beginning September 22, 2025, coinciding with the festive period of Navratri - a time known for high consumer activity.
Attractive Pricing Across Variants

Following the GST reduction, the entry-level Nissan Magnite Visia MT now starts at under Rs. 6 Lakh, strengthening its position as one of the most affordable and safest B-SUVs in the market. Meanwhile, higher trims like the N-Connecta CVT and KURO Special Edition CVT are now priced below Rs.10 Lakh, making them appealing options for customers seeking a combination of advanced features and stylish design at competitive pricing.

Top-end variants such as the Magnite CVT Tekna and CVT Tekna+ have received significant price cuts of around Rs. 97,000 to Rs. 1,00,400, further boosting their value proposition.
Additionally, the CNG retrofitment kit, developed by Motozen and officially approved by the government, now comes at a more attractive price of Rs. 71,999. Compatible with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol MT variant, this homologated kit provides customers with enhanced fuel efficiency while preserving the Magnite's best-in-class 336-litre boot space.
Safety and Reliability at the Forefront

Nissan Motor India continues to emphasize safety as a key strength of the Magnite. All variants come standard with 6 airbags, and the model has earned a 5-star rating for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) from Global NCAP, making it one of the safest choices in its segment. Moreover, the company now offers a unique 10-Year Extended Warranty Plan, giving customers added peace of mind and long-term reliability assurance.
Design and New Special Editions

Adding further appeal, the newly launched Magnite KURO Special Edition features an exclusive black exterior theme combined with Japanese-inspired design elements, offering customers a distinct and premium look. Alongside this, a Metallic Grey colour option is now available for select trims, enhancing personalization for buyers.
Looking Ahead
Mr. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, highlighted the importance of the GST revision, calling it a timely measure to boost consumer confidence and overall sector revival. As the festive season approaches, Nissan is optimistic that the price cuts will drive stronger customer interest, lead to increased footfall in dealerships, and contribute positively to the Indian automotive market.
