  • It is available in multiple seating options. The standard is a 5-seater. The Hector Plus is available in a 6- and 7-seater option.
  • Powerful turbo petrol and diesel engines are available. The diesel motor is torquey and fuel-efficient.

  • The touchscreen infotainment is smooth and crisp but not driver-friendly
  • The touchscreen integrates the AC controls. It takes a bit of effort to control aircon settings while driving.
  • The diesel engine comes with a manual transmission only. There is no option for a diesel automatic variant.
  • ADAS is available in petrol variants only
  • The turbo petrol motor is not much fuel efficient which can be a bummer in city traffic
  • The substantial size of the body accentuates the body roll within the cabin
  • In the Plus variants, the third row is confined and is best suited for children

Big SUV Feel With Flashy Design 4

• The 2023 version of the Hector maintains its existing body shell. However, it introduces alterations to enhance its bold and sporty appearance. The facelift's primary exterior change is a larger, more striking front grille with Chrome adorning the robust U-shaped grille. It seamlessly integrates with the LED daytime running lights. This provides Hector with a commanding road presence. Some may consider this design choice bold. However, it enhances the SUV's overall aesthetics.
• The 2023 update has redesigned the fog light housing. It also added a faux skid plate, infusing a sportier essence. The side profile of the SUV remains unchanged, retaining the same 18-inch alloy wheels.
• Subtle adjustments have been made on the rear. These include a connected tail lamp and new Hector badging at the centre. The new Hector badging is reminiscent of the design seen on the Gloster. The connected tail lamps boast a sporty design termed by MG as 'Blade.' Additionally, the top-end Savvy variant proudly displays ADAS badging on the body.

• The interior of the Hector offers a premium ambience. It provides a plush and luxurious feel. The facelifted dashboard has soft-touch materials at multiple points. This elevates the overall premium experience. The interior has new air conditioning vent designs. It also has an updated engine start-stop button and an upgraded instrument cluster.
• Additionally, it incorporates piano black and faux brushed aluminium accents. They contribute to its sophisticated appearance. The door pads also feature faux brushed aluminium additions. They give an upscale look. The upholstery comes in many colours. The door pads, dashboard, and other crucial areas feature dual-tone treatments. 
• The centrepiece of the interior is the 14-inch touchscreen. It's part of the centre infotainment system. It's the largest in its segment in India, making it a distinctive selling point. The top-end versions boast an 8-speaker Infinity Sound System. They feature an excellent infotainment setup with bass-heavy audio output.  
• Other features include a 6-way adjustable driver seat and ventilated front seats. It also has wireless connectivity. It has ambient lighting. • The 2023 Hector maintains its offering of two fuel types. The first option is a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. It delivers 170 bhp of peak power and 350 Nm of maximum torque. , the diesel Hector does not provide an automatic gearbox option. Besides, this engine impresses with its robust performance and commendable fuel efficiency. It's especially noticeable when driven with a light foot, showcasing good torque delivery.
• The second option is a 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit, now available without any mild hybrid setup. It continues to produce 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is available with both a manual and a CVT automatic gearbox. The CVT transmission proves particularly helpful for urban drives, handling its responsibilities. It may not be as efficient as expected . Yet, it's essential to note that this is a large mid-size SUV.

  Very comfortable car with an amazing driving experience. Priced between 21-28 lakhs, it offers a mileage of 8 kmpl in the city and around 12-14 kmpl on highways. Definitely recommended.
