2020 Honda Livo BS6 First Look Review - The Best 110cc Sporty Commuter?

Recently, Honda Two-wheelers India launched its new 110cc Premium Commuter, the Honda Livo BS6. The new Honda Livo is undeniably one of the best-looking entry-level commuters in India. With the BS6 update, the motorcycle has got even more features than before. Honda promotes it with a new tagline called 'Live Life, Livo Style.' So, today we have for you the First Look Review of this new 2020 Honda Livo BS6.

2020 Honda Livo BS6: Overview
The Honda Livo was first launched in India in the year 2015. In 2017, it got a BS4-compliant engine with some minor cosmetic tweaks. And now in June 2020, the motorcycle has got the BS6 update. The new 2020 Honda Livo BS6 is equipped with Honda's latest technology and its urban design language will surely lure the potential buyers. This new Honda Livo BS6 slots in above the Honda CD 110 Dream and sits below the Honda Shine in the company's India line-up. It looks very striking and we can even call it an affordable version of the majestic Honda SP 125.
2020 Honda Livo BS6: Looks, Dimensions and Colour Options
The new 2020 Honda Livo BS6 looks very handsome. It gets a new sharp front fascia, blacked-out visor and body-coloured rear-view mirrors. Aesthetically, it looks very sporty, thanks to the new chiselled tank shrouds and attractive body graphics. The motorcycle also features a long well-cushioned single-piece seat (+17mm than before) along with a blacked-out grabrail. At the rear, it gets a new slim taillamp. Overall, the new 2020 Honda Livo BS6 looks stunning and does stand apart from the crowd.

Talking about dimensions, the 2020 Livo measures 2020 mm in length, 751 mm in width and 1116 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1278 mm and the saddle height (seat-height) stands at just 790 mm. It is very comfortable for even short riders. The motorcycle weighs just 113 kilograms which makes it one of the lightest motorcycles in its class. Also, it has a fuel tank capacity of 9-litres and a minimum ground clearance of 163 mm. The new Honda Livo is available in four colour variants - Athletic Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Imperial Red Metallic and Black.

2020 Honda Livo BS6: Engine, Transmission and Mileage
The new 2020 Honda Livo is powered by a BS6-compliant 109.51cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This is the same motor that also powers the new CD 110 Dream. It churns out 8.80 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 9.3 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The engine comes coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox and it is now the most powerful bike in its class. It gets Honda's Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology that maximizes performance and fuel efficiency. It also features Honda's Eco Technology (HET) and an ACG starter motor that starts the bike without a jolt and offers a smooth ride. The motorcycle will also deliver a very good mileage of around 60-65 kmpl in real-world conditions.

2020 Honda Livo BS6: Tyres, Brakes and Features
The 2020 Honda Livo runs on new 80/100 section 18-inch tubeless tyres. These HET tyres offer low rolling resistance and are specially designed to increase fuel-efficiency. It gets a 130 mm drum brake unit at the rear while at the front, one can opt between a 240 mm disc or a 130 mm drum brake unit. It also gets a combined braking system (CBS) and equalizer for added safety. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and dual hydraulic springs at the rear. Some other features include a new DC headlamp, engine start/stop switch, integrated headlamp beam & passing switch, etc. It also gets a new semi-analogue semi-digital instrument cluster and is loaded with a lot of information.
2020 Honda Livo BS6: Price, Rivals and Verdict
The 2020 Honda Livo is available in two variants: Front Drum and Front Disc. The Front Drum Brake variant is priced at Rs. 70,056 while the price of the Front Disc variant hasn't been revealed yet. All prices stick to Ex-showroom, Delhi. The new 2020 Honda Livo rivals the other BS6-compliant 110cc commuter motorcycles which include Hero Passion Pro BS6, Hero Splendor iSmart 110, Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear, etc. Talking about the verdict, so if you want a sporty-looking 110cc commuter motorcycle with punchy performance, great features, good fuel-efficiency and that too at an affordable price tag, then you should definitely consider buying the new Honda Livo BS6.
