Jawa Motorcycles is an Iconic Motorcycle Company. The old classic Jawa's were very popular in India. Jawa re-entered the Indian market in 2018 after 22 years with its two products: the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two. The company is now owned by Classic Legends (a subsidiary of Mahindra Group). Upon launch, these motorcycles were BS4-compliant. And now, just a few days ago, Jawa Motorcycles has officially launched the new BS6-compliant 2020 Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty Two in India. The new BS6 Jawa Motorcycles have got some mechanical changes and a tad cosmetic overhaul too. So, in this article, we will be doing a spec comparison of the 2020 Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty Two BS4 vs BS6.

2020 Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty Two BS4 vs BS6: Looks and Colour Options
The Jawa Classic sports a retro appeal with a lot of chrome accents. Upfront, it gets a round headlamp with chrome surrounds, chrome-plated rear-view mirrors and round turn indicators. Moving to the side profile, again it gets a lot of chrome inserts on the fuel tank, engine bay area and more. The Jawa Classic gets a single-piece seat, subtle body graphics, spoke wheels, etc. Aesthetically, nothing has changed as compared to the BS4 model, except for a slight revision of exhaust. It gets Jawa's signature twin-exhaust drenched in chrome but with the BS6 update, it also gets new chrome cover for the silencer pipes. The Jawa Classic is available in three colour metallic colour variants - Black, Grey and Maroon.
The Jawa Forty Two, on the other hand, is a more sporty motorcycle. The Jawa Forty Two sports a matte finish on the body panels and appeals more to the young buyers. It gets a very subtle amount of chrome, that too only on the exhaust and the engine. It looks really enticing and has a very sporty character. Like other Jawas, it too has an inherent retro charm and gets a round headlamp, wide handlebars and muscular fuel tank. The Jawa Forty Two is offered in a total of six colour variants. These are Haley's Teal, Comet Red, Galactic Green, Nebula Blue, Lumos Lime and Starlight Blue.
