Nissan recently launched a new teaser showcasing all the new and updated cars they will be launching in their new portfolio internationally. Out of all the cars, one car in the silhouette of an SUV with 'M' in the background passed. This teased car could possibly be the upcoming 2020 Nissan Magnite which is scheduled to get launched this festive season.

The teased 2020 Nissan Magnite gives some cues on the design front, featuring big L-shaped LED DRLs on either side of the bumper along with air ducts. The front will get LED headlights with DRLs and Nissan's big V-motion grille will take the centre stage. The side profile of the Magnite will sport chunky wheel arches and black cladding all around. The top variants may also get 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Nissan had already teased the tail light design in an image which will be wraparound LED units.
The 2020 Nissan Magnite will have all-new interior design and it will be feature-packed. Rumours suggest a big 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Car Play and Nissan Connect; automatic climate control, electric sunroof, 360-degree parking camera and semi-digital instrument cluster. Nissan will pack good safety features to compete with the competition.

Talking about the engine, the Magnite is expected to get two petrol engines but no diesel engine. The base variants will get the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed manual and AMT. The other engine will be 1.0-litre turbo petrol with 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque paired with 6-speed manual gearbox. Nissan is also expected to offer an option of CVT with the turbo petrol.
The Nissan Magnite will be based the company's modular CMF-A+ platform which also underpins the Renault Triber. Renault is also working on a compact SUV codenamed 'HBC' and it will share the underpinnings and the powertrain from the Magnite. Nissan will launch the 2020 Magnite in the festive season of 2020 and will rival cars like Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.
