Yamaha Motorcycles has updated the Bolt cruiser in the Japanese market and it has been priced at Rs 6.94 lakhs in terms of INR prices. The engine remains the same, so does the looks. There has been a lot of talks lately about this 2020 Yamaha Bolt, even in India and hence we decided to get closer (virtually) to this cruiser. Let's dig deeper and see what has changed.

Available in two variants - Bolt and Bolt R, both the variants have been launched at Rs 6.94 lakhs and 7.28 lakhs respectively. Do note these are converted prices as per the rates in Japan. The deliveries will begin in June 2020 in Japanese markets and it will also be delivered to several other international markets. However, the India launch is highly unlikely. Powering the 2020 Yamaha Bolt is a 942 cc air-cooled SOHC V-twin engine that churns out 54 Ps and 80 Nm of torque @ 3000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Yamaha also offers an array of customisation options which include tall handlebar and saddlebags. The front tyre size is 100/90 19 and rear tyre size is 150/80 16 and the seat height is 690mm. Talking about the looks of the 2020 Yamaha Bolt, they haven't changed from the previous model. It sports the classic bobber design theme and features a circular headlight upfront. The fuel tank capacity is rated at 13 litres and the R model also gets red stripes on the fuel tank. With the 2020 model upgrade, a new blue metallic colour has also been added. All lights and indicators are LEDs and a digital instrument cluster is also offered.

The front shock absorbers are 41mm telescopic forks and the rear gets dual shock absorbers. The optional rear seat can be removed from the bike while purchasing as well. In India, we have the Harley Davidson Street 750, Kawasaki Vulcan S and other retro motorcycles. But we don't see any chance of the 2020 Yamaha Bolt getting launched here in India, just yet.
