2021 Benelli Leoncino 250 BS6 India Launch Soon - All You Need To Know About It

Benelli Leoncino 250 was first launched in India in October 2019 and at that time, it was the most affordable Benelli motorcycle on sale in the country. However, the Leoncino 250 was BS4 compliant and so it was discontinued in early 2020. But now, the new Leoncino 250 has been recently launched in the Philippines and it will make its way to India soon. Looks and Colour Options - The updated new Benelli Leoncino 250 looks completely identical to its predecessor. The bike gets a round headlamp, a lion's cub insignia on the front mudguard, a compact design with a stubby exhaust and a slim rear-end. It is expected to be available in India in four colour variants, namely White, Grey, Red and Brown.

Engine Specification - The new 2021 Benelli Leoncino 250 will be powered by a BS6 compliant 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected liquid-cooled engine. This motor churns out 24.47 PS of maximum power at 9500 RPM and 21 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM. The engine will come mated to a six-speed gearbox. 

Hardware - The new Benelli Leoncino 250 gets USD forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. For braking duties, it gets disc brakes at either end with an additional safety aid of dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle runs on 17-inch tubeless tyres and it gets alloy wheels.

Launch Date and Price - The new Benelli Leoncino 250 is expected to be launched in India in the Q3 of 2021. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 2.60 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
