2021 Hyundai Tucson Revealed - Gets a Unique Grille and new features

Hyundai released the sketches of the upcoming all-new Tucson on the internet and it looked very distinctive. Today, Hyundai has taken wraps off the all-new 2021 Hyundai Tucson and it surely looks very distinctive and unique. The new Tucson will be launched in Korea later this month whereas the US launch is slated for mid-2021. India launch is imminent not before mid-2021.

The 2021 Hyundai Tucson traces its design cues from the recently unveiled Elantra. Hyundai calls its new design "Senseous Sportyness Design" and we have seen it with multiple cars of Hyundai. The new Tucson takes the design-forward and it looks even more radical. The front parametric grille sports 3d-finished slots and the some of the slots get flush-fitted DRLs. When the car is turned off, you can't even see the DRLs in place and they glow only when the car is on. The grille merges with the LED DRLs blacked below the hood whereas the main headlight sits on the bumper. Overall the new Tucson looks very radical from the front.

The side profile of the new Tucson is reminiscent of the Elantra's design. There are a lot of sharp cuts and creases which makes it look razor-sharp. Unlike the previous car, the new one gets squared-off wheel wells and the cladding gets a specific pattern. The rear of the new Tucson again inspired from the new Elantra, gets connected LED taillights. The main taillights are divided into two inverted parts and look rather cool. The lower bumper sees twin exhaust ports and an unusual pattern on the cladding.

Moving to the interior, you will notice that the design is reminiscent of the all-new Hyundai Creta. However, it is much more advanced and gets a host of new features when compared to the older car. The broad ridge of the dashboard meets with the doors seamlessly - something we see in Jaguar cars. The central touchscreen measures 10.25-inch and Hyundai has ditched all the hard buttons on the centre console. All the air-con controls are now incorporated in a single touch-based panel. The centre-console flows to the end, bends to the back and then continues to the centre tunnel.

Hyundai has also worked on the rear seat space and the rear seats now get a fold and dive functionality for optimum comfort and boot space.

The 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine produces a combined power output of 230 PS and the engine sports the Continuously Variable Valve Duration (CVVD) technology. The 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 190 PS and 246 Nm of torque.
