2021 Volvo S60 Bookings to Open in January - Launch Slated for March

Volvo India launched the XC40 Petrol last year and as we are inching towards the end of 2020, Volvo has announced two new products. Volvo India has revealed the 2021 S60 for the Indian market. Volvo India will commence the bookings in January whereas the launch is slated for March 2021. The 2021 S60 will offer a ton of safety assistance features along with Volvo-specific comfort features.

Volvo S60 is has been in the global markets for a while now whereas, in India, it will come next year and break all the segment benchmarks. Volvo is known for its safety and always put that on top, S60 will come kitted with adaptive cruise control, lane guiding tech and a lot more. The Volvo S60 sits on the brand's Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform. Talking about the looks, the S60 looks very striking and very Volvo-esque. The signature Thor's Hammer LED headlights along with the chrome-surrounded takes on the front profile. The sculpted bonnet also gives it a bold and muscular look.

The side profile of the 2021 Volvo S60 is rather sleek and it holds a subtle bulge running across the length of the car. The window area is big and helps to throw away the claustrophobia of passengers. The S60 rides on 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels which look really good and razor sharp. Unlike other cars in competition, the S60 will only come in single T4 Inscription trim. But for those who want some change can opt one of three interior upholsteries.

Talking about the powertrain on offer, the S60 will shift to petrol only with a sole 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine on offer. The motor puts out 190hp and 300 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The India-spec car will measure 4761mm in length, 2040mm in width, 1431mm in height and 2872mm in wheelbase. Moving on to the features, it comes with 4-zone climate control, 14-speaker Harman Kardon speaker system, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and much more.

2021 Volvo S60 interiors

Moving to the pricing part, the S60 will be priced in the region of Rs 40 lakh which may go up and down depending on the options. It will rival cars like the BMW 3-series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Jaguar XE. Vovlo will offer five colour shades which are Crystal White Pearl, Denim Blue, Fusion Red, Maple Brown and Onyx Black. The bookings of the 2021 Volvo S60 will commence in January whereas the launch will happen in March 2021.
