The first FZ motorcycle was launched in India in the year 2007 and over the years, it has got 3 generation updates. Currently, we have the FZ in its third-gen avatar and it is called the FZ V3. The Yamaha FZ V3 and the FZ-S V3 was first launched in India in January 2019 and recently the company has given them an update for 2021 too. PROS

Striking Looks and Colour Shades - The new 2021 Yamaha FZ-S V3 is a very handsome motorcycle. It has a macho appeal and has a great road presence out on the streets. The new FZ-S V3 is available in five colour variants. They are - Matte Red (newly launched), Dark Matte Blue, Dark Knight, Matte Black and Vintage Edition. The Yamaha FZ V3 is available in two colours. They are - Metallic Black and Racing Blue. 

Decent Hardware - The Yamaha FZ-S V3 packs in decent hardware. The braking duties on the motorcycle are performed by disc brakes at either end and it gets a single-channel ABS as an additional safety aid.

Very Reliable and Comfortable - The new 2021 Yamaha FZ-S V3 is a very comfortable motorcycle. For suspension duties, it gets telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear. The Yamaha FZ-S V3 is a no-nonsense motorcycle and this Japanese bike is very reliable.

Handling and Mileage - The Yamaha FZ-S V3 is a very agile motorcycle and it handles really very well. Also, it is an extremely fuel-efficient motorcycle.

Decently Feature-Loaded - The new Yamaha FZ-S V3 is a feature-loaded motorcycle. It gets an all-digital instrument cluster, a side stand engine cut-off switch, an in-built Yamaha's Bluetooth connectivity along with 'Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X' application as standard.

CONS

Engine Performance - The Yamaha FZ-S V3 is powered by a BS6 compliant 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 12.4 PS of power at 7250 RPM and 13.6 Nm of peak torque at 5500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The FZ-S V3 feels a bit underpowered and its rivals certainly offer you better performance.

Headlight Throw - The Yamaha FZ-S V3 gets an all-LED headlamp but the throw of the LED headlight isn't that good and it could have been better.

Price - The price of the Yamaha FZ-S V3 now starts at Rs. 1,04,700 and it goes upto Rs. 1,11,700. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The price of the higher variants of the Yamaha FZ-S V3 feels slightly on the expensive side as it isn't offering you something extraordinary or great performance.
