2022 BMW M8 Facelift Breaks Cover, India Launch Expected?- Details

The BMW M8 facelift has finally been revealed, and the new facelift appears to be pretty enticing. The new facelift of the M8 gets updates with exterior colours and M alloy wheels. The BMW M8 Competition Coup鬠BMW M8 Competition Cabriolet, and BMW M8 Competition Gran Coup頡re the three body options of the new edition of the BMW 8 Series facelift. The 2022 facelift comes with a boatload of new features such as a 12.3-inch control system, M-series specific inserts, etc.

2022 BMW M8 Facelift Exterior

The 2022 BMW M8 now has new 20-inch alloy wheels, new exterior colours emphasise the exterior's clear surface design even further. The colour options for the M8 have been updated, and there are now eight different options to choose from. The dark inlays and chrome accents inside the headlights, together with the usual high-gloss black frame of the BMW kidney grille, give the vehicle a particularly stunning and dynamic appearance upfront.

Interior

The interior of the 8 series facelift also gets new updates with a 12.3-inch control display. BMW Maps, an online navigation system, and the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant are also included. The standard equipment, which includes the Driving Assistant, Parking Assistant with reversing assistant, wireless charging, and the Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, emphasises the new BMW 8 Series facelift models. The upholstery has also been updated for 2022, and now features a combination of Full Merino Leather and Alcantara trim, which was previously only available in Black/Midrand Beige but is now also available in Black/Sakhir Orange, with Black Alcantara also extending to the dashboard and top areas of the door panels.

Engine

Powering the vehicle a V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology provides remarkable performance, with a maximum output of 625 horsepower and a maximum torque of 750 Nm. The pre-facelift 8 Series is available in India with a 340 PS 3-litre turbo-petrol (as the base option) and a 600PS 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol, both mated to an 8-speed M Steptronic unit that sends power to all four wheels.

The car has Adaptive M Suspension, which analyses data from body movement, road surface conditions, and steering input to change each damper separately using electromagnetic valves within milliseconds.

The facelifted M8 is offered in two and four-door coupes, as well as a convertible, like before. The regular 8 series in India is a four-door coupe, while the M8 is a two-door coupe.
