The new Mahindra XUV700 was surely a runaway success and the Indian carmaker is now all set to introduce the new next-gen 2022 Mahindra Scorpio in the market. The new Scorpio will be underpinned by an all-new platform and will feature a number of other updates that will make it a worthy upgrade. The car was recently spotted testing on the roads and we do expect Mahindra to launch the vehicle soon in the market. Here are all the details that you should check about the new upcoming 2022 Mahindra Scorpio.
For starters, the new Scorpio is expected to feature a bolder and more imposing front fascia. The car will get a large grille in the centre with the new Mahindra logo while the older projector halogen lamps will now be replaced with sleeker LED units. The dimensions of the vehicle too are expected to be larger than before while the side profile is expected to retain a similar silhouette. From the rear too, this new SUV will feature an updated stance. More details however can only be confirmed once Mahindra releases official sketches of the Scorpio.

The cabin of the Scorpio too will be updated and the SUV is expected to feature a new dashboard layout with a large infotainment screen in the centre. The instrument console too will get a large digital screen while we will also see a number of new features inside the car. In addition to this, the car will be more practical than before and we do expect the brand to offer better ergonomics and lots of storage spaces inside the car. Having said this, just like the XUV700, the Scorpio too is expected to offer a larger sunroof in addition to many segment-first features.
Powering the new Mahindra Scorpio will be the same engines that we also see in the Thar. While more details are yet to be known, both the petrol as well as diesel engines will be available with manual as well automatic transmission options while we may also see the inclusion of AWD/4WD variants in the Scorpio's line-up. Going by the trend, it is also expected that the Scorpio will be much safer than before and will feature a long list of safety features in addition to improved driving dynamics.
