The Chennai-based EV maker Raptee is developing an e-bike. The concept of this upcoming bike was showcased at the 2020 Indian Auto Expo. However, the pandemic seems to have added the delay in its launch time. A test mule of the 2023 Raptee electric bike has been spied on a city run. The test bike is camouflaged and looks production-ready underneath. Read all of its details below.

2023 Raptee Electric Bike Details
The upcoming e-bike from Raptee is going to be a hybrid model. How? Well, it gets a mix of the fairing and naked bike design. The front end boasts an independent headlight and tubular handlebar. However, the battery and electric motor underneath the frame gets a fairing. This design resembles that of the upcoming Ultraviolette F77 bike. Additionally, the spotted test bike shows that it will get a slightly committed riding posture. The rider traingle is a tad upright and sporty to look at. The raised handlebar shall allow the bike to be agile inside the city traffic.
Other design elements to notice are the split seats, glossy alloy wheels, & a chain drive system. This chain drive system is different from the concept model. The concept bike had a belt-drive system but it looks like Raptee engineers have ditched it for the performance. Additionally, it will get a big touchscreen infotainment TFT display. Going by the segment standards, Bluetooth connectivity shall also be offered as standard. LED lighting is also seen on the test bike.
Raptee is going to use a big electric motor on it. However, the exact details of the battery & motor are still unknown. Meanwhile, the performance figures are displayed on the company's website. It can reach a top speed of up to 135 kmph & it also gets a claimed riding range of 150 km per charge. Additionally, it can do 0-60 kmph in 3.5 seconds as claimed. Meanwhile, its battery can be charged from 0-80 percent within 45 minutes using its CCS2 charging socket.
Verdict
The undergoing testing indicates that the bike is reaching its final production stage soon. However, we suspect it will debut or launch at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo in 2023. Meanwhile, its rivals will include the Oben Rorr & the Tork Kratos R.
