Yamaha R15 is the flagship motorcycle of the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer in India. The R15 is one of the most affordable sports bikes available in India. Currently, Yamaha sells the R15 in 3 main variants in India and all the variants come with different color options and price tags. Yamaha R15S
In India, the R15 lineup's entry-level model is the Yamaha R15S. It is available in two colours: Matte Black and Racing Blue. Additionally, it gets a unibody seat for the rider and a pillion. The hardware of the R15S differs from the other variants as it gets telescopic front forks while the other variants gets USD front forks. The price of the R15S model is Rs 1,62,900. (ex-showroom).
Yamaha R15 V4
The R15 V4 is available in three colours: Metallic Red, Dark Knight, and Racing Blue. The USD front forks of the R15 V4 are golden, and the seat configuration is divided. The Metallic Red colour is priced at Rs. 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom), the Drak Knight colour costs Rs. 1.81 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Racing Blue colour costs Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
Yamaha R15M
In India, the Yamaha R15M is the top-tier model in the R15 line-up. The R15M model costs Rs. 1.91 lakh and comes in the standard Metallic Grey colour (ex-showroom). The WGP 60th Anniversary Edition and the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition are two more special editions available for this variation, both of which are priced at Rs. 1.92 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 1.93 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The most expensive version of R15 that is offered on the Indian market is the Monster Energy edition.
Yamaha R15 Engine Specifications & Features
A 155cc, liquid-cooled engine that produces 18.4 bhp of power and 14.2 Nm of peak torque is standard on all Yamaha R15 models. There is a 6-speed transmission included with the engine. Some bike variants have quick shifters for easy upshifts.
The motorcycle has a number of features, including a side stand engine cutoff, traction control, dual-channel ABS, quick shifter, riding modes, and a digital instrument cluster among others.
