It's a no-hidden fact that KTM is developing a new-gen Duke series. The upcoming 2024 KTM Duke 390 has been spied on quite a few times now. Adding to this series are the latest spy shots. 2024 KTM Duke 390 & 200 Details
As seen in earlier spy shots, the latest photos also reveal a similar design. The Duke is now sharper and gets bigger body panels. Headlight is also a new unit with an LED setup. Additionally, the fuel tank size looks big and so do the tank extensions. In fact, the grooves on the side panels are larger; maybe to make it more aerodynamic. Looking at the rider, we feel that the new Duke will be more comfort-oriented. Meanwhile, the orange shade of the alloy wheels reveals a new design. These are similar looking to the one's seen on the current KTM RC 390. Possibly these alloy wheels will be lighter.
Other additions include the new right-side placement of the front disc brake. The disc size also appears to be larger. Additionally, the rear end has also been revised with an offset rear monoshock suspension. The swingarm also looks redesigned. Hence, we suspect that the overall weight will drop subsequently on the new model. In order to keep its game up, KTM will introduce new features on the new Duke range. These might include a new TFT display with redesigned graphics. Also, more connected features like 'KTM MY RIDE' might make their way to the new Duke.
Speaking of the engine, both models will unlikely get changed mechanically. Hence, the power output and torque figures shall remain the same. However, KTM will retune the ECU and also add better heat management to the new models.
Verdict
KTM has continuously updated the Duke range in India. Due to this, its sales figures have remained consistent. With the introduction of new designs and better features; KTM will make sure to keep ahead of its rivals like BMW G 310 R. We anticipate the launch of the updated models by the end of this year or the start of 2024. Expect the prices to increase by a few thousand due to new design & features.
