2024 KTM RC 390 & RC 125 Sports Bike Duo Spied Testing Globally

2024 KTM RC 390 & RC 125 duo of sports bikes have been spied on test globally. The new models will get a revised design & technical changes.

The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM is developing a new RC series of sports bikes. Proving this, a test mule duo of the upcoming 2024 KTM RC 390 & 125 was spied on globally. 2024 KTM RC 390 & 125 Details

Speaking of the changes, both of the test bikes were camouflaged completely. However, through the body panels, it was readily visible that the design is going to get changed. How? Well, the upcoming RC 390 now looks more aggressive than ever. The test bikes also had projector headlights but we can't confirm whether these will make it to production units. Meanwhile, the rider footpegs seemed to have been re-positioned on both of the models. This can possibly mean that the rider triangle will be more sorted on the upcoming models.

However, other changes include a new sub-frame. This is something that we've seen on the test mules of the upcoming 2023 KTM Duke 390. Similar to the Duke test mules, RC test bikes also had a revised swingarm design. The swingarm is now diagonal in position along with an off-set monoshock suspension. Additionally, the front disc brake is also re-positioned on the right side. Meanwhile, the bodywork looks like a single piece but we can't be sure of anything until details are revealed officially.

Verdict

So, what do we expect? Well, the KTM RC series has been one of the most successful sports bikes in India. KTM knows this perfectly and hence to keep the products relevant in lieu of the current rivals; new models are under development. We also suspect that KTM will revise the engine power outputs on both of these upcoming models. However, it will not be any time before early 2024 that the new models get launched in India. Upon their debut, the 390 will rival Kawasaki Ninja 300 & TVS Apache RR 310. The KTM RC 125, on the other hand, will rival Yamaha R15 M in India.
