After the Mahindra Thar 5-Door was spied with a bigger infotainment screen, the same has been spotted yet again. But this time, there are new changes to the exterior of the vehicle. While the market is getting prepared to welcome the updated Tata Nexon facelift, this rugged SUV is attracting curious eyes as well.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door- New Exterior Changes Incoming
The most recent batch of spy images showcases the forthcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door, giving a glimpse of its finalized body design. In the recent sighting of the Thar 5-door test prototype, a distinctive front grille took center stage. The grille boasts a configuration of six slats, separated horizontally down the middle. Flanking this grille are circular headlamps, and LED daytime running lights elegantly placed on the flared fenders. Additionally, the robust front bumper accommodates a pair of fog lamps as well.

While these are the notable changes spied so far, some more changes on the inside can be expected as well. A new upholstery, cabin theme, and some more advanced features are bound for this upcoming SUV.
Meanwhile, the brand has no plans to launch any new vehicles in 2023. This was confirmed officially and sets the timeline of its launch to sometime in 2024. This move possibly stems from a long-standing order list of the Mahindra XUV700 and the 3-door Thar, which still touch a waiting period of up to an year for some variants.
Engine Options
The engine choices for the Thar 5-door will mirror those available for the 3-door variant. These selections encompass a 2.2-liter diesel engine generating 130 BHP and 300 Nm of torque, as well as a 2.0-liter petrol engine with an output of 150 BHP and a torque range of 300-320 Nm. It is expected that both of these engines will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
