Updated Benelli TRK 502X; Details

Based on what we can see from the teasers, the TRK 502X is unlikely to receive a very substantial upgrade, as it seems to retain the design, given that we can see its familiar twin halogen headlamp setup. However, we can expect Benelli introduce some new colour schemes to make it look fresh.
The 500cc, parallel-twin engine is also likely to be retained, but with some slight changes in the output figures, and Benelli is likely going to focus on emission norms, making the powertrain compliant with OBD-2B norms. In its current state, the engine produces 46.9bhp at 8500rpm and 46Nm of torque at 6000rpm.

In terms of hardware, it makes use of a steel trellis frame, suspended on USD forks and an adjustable monoshock. As for braking, it gets a 320mm dual disc setup at the front, along with a 260mm disc at the rear. The bike comes with a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel setup with spoke rims, which is different from the 17-inch wheel setup of the regular TRK 502.
More details shall be known closer to the launch of the updated TRK 502X, so do stay tuned!
Verdict
The TRK 502X is likely going to be the first Benelli in India to be updated, and we think there will be more to follow. While the updates may not be huge, it shows that the bikemaker is committed to staying invested in the Indian market.
