There is some reprieve for those who want to buy the X440, though, since Harley-Davidson has clarified that its entry-level motorcycle will continue at the same price, i.e Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
The bikemaker is also going to expand its lineup with two new bikes. The first motorcycle is likely to be an update to the existing X440, which is said to arrive in the second quarter of this year. Additionally, there will be another motorcycle which will be seen in 2026. This is likely to be an all-new product altogether on the X440 platform. This new motorcycle could take inspiration from Harley-Davidson's staple cruiser heritage and it could be a proper low-slung retro cruiser
Verdict
With the new GST regime kicking in, many premium motorcycles have seen a price hike, and those dreaming of buying a Harley-Davidson will have to shell out a bit more, which probably won't matter to those who can afford to buy one.
