DC Design is a well-known firm in India as it is very close to our hearts, thanks to the only Indian sports car, DC Avanti. It has been the only pure Indian sportscar, even if it didn't do too well. DC Design isn't doing well for some time now and we even heard some predictions of DC' bankruptcy. Leaving all this behind, we are more than happy to share that DC is making a comeback and it has got a new name- DC2. Version 2.0? Exactly!

DC2 recently dropped a bomb on their Facebook and Instagram page and they call it E-Amby. A 2-door electric incarnation of the iconic and politico's favourite, Hindustan Ambassador. It is not the first time we have heard about a DC developed Amby as DC showcased a concept called 'Ambierod' which was supposed to get a V12 and Gullwing doors. It supposed to get them, but it was never get launched. Although the E-Amby is a virtual concept and it's in the earliest of its development stages, this one seems promising and unique.

Talking about the design, the first thing you notice is that it is a 2-door car, which isn't the case with the original Ambassador. The design looks radical and unique. The front profile gets a gargantuan grille drenched in chrome and new capsule-shaped headlights that merge in it diagonally. The bonnet gets a similar nose bulge we have seen on the Amby. The wheelbase is short and the dimensions are tight too. We can't say how it will look like in its mere production form as it is just a 'virtual' concept.

The side profile gets huge glass area with chrome borders, sorta squared-off wheel arches and spoke wheels which are, obviously, drenched in chrome. The rear profile features two-pot LED taillights with chrome garnish and a chrome lip on the centre of the boot lid. DC hasn't shared any deets of the drivetrain it will employ in future but we are told that if the response and feedback is encouraging, Mr Dilip Chhabria will actually go ahead and make these!
