Bharat Benz expands its footprints in the western region of India with three more outlets. The dealerships will feature several other facilities as well.
Bharat Benz Indias subsidiary Dimler India Commercial Vehicle (DICV) opens three new dealerships at Chakan, Nashik, and Satara. These new dealerships have been established in association with Autobahn Trucking. The three new outlets bring down the total count of dealers to 26 pan-India.
The Pune facility is spread around 66.000 square-foot that accommodates 10 bays. Theres also a multi-storied 3000-square-foot facility for spare parts, bays for handling accident-related vehicles, and an exclusive restroom for drivers and parking.

Present at the occasion of the inauguration was the COO of DCIV, Mr. Anshum Jain. He said, Maharashtra is an important market for BharatBenz. The expansion will help us cater to the increasing demand for BharatBenz trucks and buses. With this expansion, we have enhanced our capability to service over 5000 vehicles a month in the state.

Rajaram Krishnamurthy, Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service, DICV said, We expect this year to be much better than 2021, which we consider a recovery year for us. Autobahn Trucking is planning to add 100 bays in due course of time.
Currently, Bharat Benz builds both trucks and buses in India. The truck line-up is comprised of the MDT, HDT C, HDT R, and the HDT T. As far as buses are concerned, Bharat Benz build both school buses and service buses. But theres also the 1624 chassis, that comes pre-fitted with pneumatic air suspension with anti-roll bar at the front and rear suspension, advanced braking system, robust chassis, and 240 hp OM26 engine that helps produce 850 Nm of torque between 1200-1600 RPM.
