Design Looks Even More Elegant

The upcoming Honda City facelift brings visible exterior changes, especially at the front. The latest images clearly indicate a redesigned fascia featuring sharper and thinner LED headlights along with connected LED DRLs. The front bumper has also been reworked with a more chiselled and aggressive design, while the grille now appears thinner and more open with a honeycomb-style pattern.
These updates are aimed at making the City look more modern and competitive against rivals such as the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Hyundai Verna, all of which already offer sportier and more contemporary styling. A new set of black alloy wheels has also been spotted, which adds a more premium and sportier look to the sedans side profile. However, the side silhouette remains largely unchanged, retaining the same door design and sunroof setup.
Once a segment leader, the Honda City has seen a steady decline in sales in recent years due to the growing demand for SUVs. Monthly sales have now dropped below the 1,000-unit mark, reflecting the broader slowdown of the sedan segment in India and global markets.
Interior and Feature Updates Expected

While full specifications are yet to be confirmed, the facelift is expected to focus mainly on improving in-cabin technology and comfort. Anticipated updates include a larger infotainment system compared to the current 9-inch unit, an updated fully digital driver display, and ventilated as well as power-adjustable driver seats. These enhancements aim to bring the Honda City in line with current segment expectations, where advanced digital features and comfort-focused equipment have become standard.
Familiar Mechanical Setup
No major mechanical changes are expected in this facelift. The Honda City is likely to continue with its existing engine options, including the 1.5-litre petrol engine and the 1.5-litre strong hybrid system. Transmission choices are also expected to remain unchanged, offering both manual and CVT options depending on the variant.
