Hero is soon going to launch its iconic sports bike Karizma in India. The upcoming Hero Karizma XMR has been recently shown at a dealers-only event. Hero Karizma XMR - Enough To Beat R15?
The Hero Karizma has been an entry-level faired motorcycle that has been a cult among the youngsters of India. Sadly, its sales dipped and eventually, it ran out of breath due to multiple reasons. But, Hero has now decided to bring it back. In fact, Hero has recently shown the new bike to its dealers. The bike was showcased at a dealers-only event where its name was revealed. The leaked image of it shows that its design will be completely new. Hero has made it again from scratch and it looks even more sportier than before. It is going to get a full fairing as well as a long windshield and sharp LED headlights. Also, the sculpted fuel tank will make it look even more beefier.
Hero has used a split-seat setup on the bike with its rear profile raised like a true sports bike. Also, the golden engine casing and turbine-like alloy wheels make it look even more premium. However, the handlebar looks tubular and the front suspension is also a telescopic unit. This will possibly create a comfortable riding posture that has been a forte of Karizma ever since. Meanwhile, the engine on this model will also be a completely new unit. It'll possibly get a 210cc single-cylinder engine that is going to be liquid-cooled as well. Additionally, the XMR will also become the first bike from Hero to get a dual-channel ABS setup.
Verdict - Launch, Price, & Rivals
As the production-ready bike has been shown to the dealers; it is expected to launch in the coming weeks. It'll possibly get a premium sticker price due to the latest features & a liquid-cooled engine. We suspect that Hero shall price it somewhere above Rs 1.8-2 lakh. Its main rivals in India will be the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 & Yamaha R15 V4.
