Embodying a unique design philosophy, the Hero Mavrick 440, built upon the acclaimed Harley-Davidson X440 platform, introduces an array of fresh design elements. The motorcycle showcases distinctive rounded headlamps adorned with H-shaped LED DRLs, complemented by LED turn indicators. A muscular fuel tank, short front fender, bar-end rounded mirrors, and a sleek single-seat setup contribute to its overall aesthetics. Technological advancements take center stage, featuring a digital speedometer with an inverted display, seamless smartphone integration through Bluetooth connectivity, and an intelligent LED headlamp.

Dr. Arun Jaura, Chief Technology Officer of Hero MotoCorp, emphasized the significance of the Mavrick 440's design language, highlighting its commanding road presence, unstoppable power, and inherent authority.

Although the primary frame structure aligns with that of the X440, the Mavrick diverges in certain aspects. Notably, it features a more straightforward 43mm telescopic fork upfront, departing from the USD setup on the Harley. The Mavrick maintains a ground clearance of 175mm and adopts a uniform 17-inch wheel size at both ends, distinguishing itself from the Harley's 18/17-inch wheel configuration.

Engine Specs: Heart Of 440

The heart of the Hero Mavrick is its oil-cooled, 440cc, single-cylinder enginea powerplant shared with the Harley-Davidson X440. While the Mavrick matches the Harley in horsepower at 27hp, it slightly trails in peak torque. Hero's Mavrick is rated for 36Nm, with an impressive 90 percent of that torque available at a low 2,000rpm. This power is managed through a 6-speed gearbox equipped with a slip-and-assist clutch.

Price, Bookings, And Delivery Timeline

Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to reveal the pricing details for the Mavrick 440 in the upcoming weeks, with bookings slated to kick off next month. Anticipated deliveries are set to commence from April 2024. Positioned strategically as a more economical option in comparison to the Harley X440, the Mavrick 440 enters the arena to rival motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Triumph Speed 400.

The Hero Mavrick 440 offers three variants catering to different tastes: Spoke Wheels in Arctic White, a Mid Variant with Alloy Wheels, and a Top Variant featuring diamond-cut alloys, providing riders with a range of stylish options - each available in five captivating color options.

Verdict

As Hero MotoCorp unveils the Mavrick 440, poised to be a compelling alternative to the Harley X440, the anticipation in the biking community reaches new heights. With pricing details set to be announced soon and deliveries scheduled for April 2024, the Mavrick 440 promises to bring a fresh perspective to the roads. Boasting a captivating design, powerful performance, and affordability, it stands ready to carve its place in the competitive motorcycle market.
