Hero Motocorp, the worlds largest two-wheeler manufacturer, launched Xtreme 200S in 2020. Since the beginning of this year, the bike has witnessed a fourth hike in prices. So, basically, in just nine months, Hero has increased the prices of Xtreme 200S by a pretty huge margin. With this, the Xtreme 200S is now the flagship motorcycle of the brand as it has overtaken Xpulse 200 in terms of pricing. The bike sports a stylish design language with a commanding presence. It's a perfect combination of power and control.
Hero offers an aerodynamic fairing with twin LED headlamps, compact sporty exhaust and an all-digital instrument console compatible with smartphone connectivity and notifies the rider with all the necessary alerts like incoming calls, gear indicators and digital tachometer.
Hero Xtreme 200S comes with a 200cc oil-cooled engine which delivers a maximum power of 13.3 kW and 16.45 Nm of peak torque. It is equipped with telescopic front forks with an anti-friction bush and a rectangular swingrarm with mono-shock at the rear. A table has been attached below which showcases the hike in prices of the motorcycle over the past few months. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
|Month of Price Increase||JANUARY||APRIL||JULY||SEPTEMBER|
|Hero Xtreme 200S Price (ex-showroom)||Rs 1,17,214||Rs 1,20,214||Rs 1,24,014||Rs 1,27,364|
A significant price difference can be seen within months. The prices of the motorcycle in the month of July were increased by Rs 3,800 whereas in the month of September, again, were increased by Rs 3350. No other motorcycle manufacturer in this segment has ever announced such a hike in prices within a few months. From the first nine months of 2021, Hero Xtreme has undergone an increase in prices by Rs 10,000 which corresponds to an almost 9% increment.
Hero Xtreme 200S is available with three colour options - red, black and white. The executive commuter is a convenient, stylish, connected and safe motorcycle. It comes equipped with large dual discs (276 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear) along with single-channel ABS. For better stability, it comes with a seven-step adjustable mono-shock and wide radial tyres. So, do you think that yet another price hike for Hero Xtreme 200S is justified?
