Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd has launched the BS6 version of the Activa 6G in the market at a price of Rs 63,912 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter replaces the Activa 5G and gets expensive by Rs 7,978 and the deliveries will commence from next month. The bookings have already started across all dealerships.
The BS6 version of the Honda Activa 6G packs in a 109.51 cc petrol motor unlike the 109.19 cc found in the BS4 trim. It is now fuel-injected and gets a Silent Start system. Honda claims that this model is 10% more fuel-efficient than the BS4 versions.
Performance-wise, the Activa 6G sees a slight dip in the power with the engine now churning out 7.68 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 8.79 Nm at 5,250 rpm. Like the Activa 125, the recently launched 6G gets Enhanced Smart Power and also comes equipped with Enhanced Smart Tumble Technology (eSTT) which helps in reducing the friction inside the engine.

Feature-wise, the Honda Activa 6G gets LED headlamps, larger 12-inch front wheel as opposed to the 10-inch front wheel found in the Activa 5G. It also gets an external fuel-filler cap, USB Charging, New Colours and a Dual control switch. A semi-digital instrument cluster, multi-function remote key opening and more are some of the features the scooter gets.
The suspension is controlled by a telescopic fork at the front and the rear continues with the single spring which comes with 3-step adjustability. Dimension wise the Activa 6G measures 1,883 mm in length, 697 in width and 1156 mm in height. The two-wheeler gets premium as it accounts up to 171 mm of ground clearance which is highest in its segment. The Activa 6G gets a longer wheelbase, seat and increased floor space.

Honda Activa 6G is available in a total of six colours - Pearl Spartan Red, Metallic Axis Grey, Glitter Blue Metallic, Pearl Precious White, Black and Dazzle Yellow Metallic. The scooter is offered with a 6-year warranty period. The scooter competes with the likes of TVS Jupiter, Hero Maestro Edge and more.
