Honda CB500X Discontinued: Details

Removal of a product from the website generally hints at its possible discontinuation in the market. However, there can be a number of other reasons as well. Honda CB500X Discontinued: Why? and more about the CB500X

There can be a number of factors behind the discontinuation of CB500X in India. Like the case with any other vehicle, the low sales figures is the most prominent one.

The Honda CB500X was launched in India in March 2021. It received a massive cut of over Rs. 1 lakh in Feb 2022, and before being delisted from the website, the two-wheeler sold at a price tag of Rs. 5.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Powered the adventure tourer was a twin-cylinder 471cc liquid-cooled engine, the output figures stood at 46 bhp and 43.2 Nm of peak torque. It was sold in India via the CKD route.

Verdict: While Honda has not officially commented on the discontinuation of CB500X, we have to wait for the brand's confirmation before coming to any conclusion. Most likely, even if Honda doesn't comment, it is almost certain the adventure tourer has been discounted. These sudden discontinuations are often shocking for the vehicle's existing owners and often reduce the customer's trust in the brand.
