HMSI has patented the name trademark of the CBR250RR. The trademark capturing has been done to preserve the name for future plans. However, there are no official details about the launch of it in India soon. The CBR250RR is a global middle-weight sports bike. The quarter-litre sports bike is profoundly known for its well-balanced chassis and handling. Additionally, its 249cc parallel-twin engine makes a decent peak power output of 38 bhp & a peak torque of 23.3 Nm. Honda has also equipped it with features like LED lights, LED DRLs, USD front suspension, monoshock rear suspension, & 17-inch alloy wheels.

Honda also offers a TFT display with Bluetooth phone connectivity for rider aid. Also, the CBR250RR gets the option of multiple riding modes that help the rider in various riding conditions. For safety, Honda also offers a dual-channel ABS as well as a slipper clutch as standard equipment. The overall design of the CBR is very sporty as it competes with the segment rivals. Its overall kerb weight is just 166-168 kg (depending on the variant). Also, the fuel tank capacity of 14.5 liters makes it a good highway machine as well.

Patent of popular models in India is an exercise that most manufacturers do regularly. It is to preserve the popular names so that in future there are no hiccups during the launch. Hence, the possibility of the CBR250RR entering our market can not be denied completely. Meanwhile, Yamaha R3 is also going to launch very soon. It is a direct rival of the CBR250RR. Some other rivals of it include KTM RC 390 & TVS Apache RR 310.
